Gorilla Products - Why Blaster Shots Uses Gorilla Glue and Tape

At Sure Shots, every Blaster Shot™ Score Keeping Vest and HANGERZ™ Portable Score Keeping Target is hand assembled right here in the USA.

When you're building products that absorb thousands of hits from gel balls, Nerf darts, archery tag arrows, and bazooka balls — in family fun centers, Halloween zombie shooting booths, corn mazes, haunted attractions, and festival environments — the materials you choose in assembly matter enormously.

That's why we assemble every unit using Gorilla Tape® and Gorilla Hot Glue Sticks®.

We Tested Everything. Gorilla Won!

Gorilla Hot Glue Sticks

Finding the right hot glue stick wasn't a quick decision. We went through just about every glue stick available — consumer brands, commercial-grade products, industrial options. Most failed under the demands of real-world assembly and field use. Gorilla Hot Glue Sticks® outperformed every single one.

We use them throughout the assembly of every vest and target:

  • Attaching electronic sensors securely in place

  • Bonding wire raceways so wiring stays organized and protected

  • Securing velcro during repairs

  • Minor fabric repairs that need a clean, durable hold

The bond holds up through constant impact, heat, sweat, and the punishment of daily commercial use. We stopped looking the day we found them.

The Tape That Acts as a Hinge

Gorilla 1 inch Black Tape

Every Blaster Shot™ Score Keeping Vest uses two sensor panels — each one 6 inches by 12 inches. During assembly, those two panels are laid side by side, flush along their 12-inch edges.

Those two panels have to move together as one piece — but they also have to flex and contour naturally around the body of every player, whether that's a 7-year-old at a birthday party or an adult at a family entertainment center.

Gorilla Tape® is the hinge that makes that happen.

Applied along that flush seam, the tape bonds the panels together while simultaneously acting as a flexible hinge — allowing the assembled sensor surface to conform naturally to the curve of a player's chest and back. It stays bonded through constant flexing, impact, sweat, and the wear of daily commercial use.

We also use Gorilla Tape® to temporarily secure wiring during assembly, keeping everything organized and in position before final assembly is complete.

Built to Take a Beating. Held Together by Gorilla.

Our products are used commercially. They don't get treated gently. They get worn, hit, flexed, sweat on, tossed in bags, set up and torn down at festivals, and run through hundreds of players every single week.

Gorilla Tape® and Gorilla Hot Glue Sticks® are a critical part of why our products hold up in those conditions. We're proud to assemble every unit with them.
